HOW TO HAVE AN EVENT LISTED IN THE
CALENDAR
If you are an Omahawk member and have an event
you would like listed, please come to the next Board Meeting and
present this to the Board for approval. Once this is done, your
event will be listed in the calendar of events.
Local area radio controlled clubs are
encouraged to provide the Omahawks information regarding your
event schedule. We ask that you provide us the date, description,
and an address to link off to so that if individuals need further
information, they can be directed to your site. Omahawks will not
maintain information related to your event. Please send your
requests to the
Webmaster.
Closed to Non-Event Participants -- What does
this mean?

Some events listed refer to the field
being closed to "non-event participants". As
approved by the Omahawks Board, some events have been
allowed to close the field to non-event participants so that
the event scheduled can have sole use of the field for the
duration of the event. These times will vary and are at the
discretion of the individual responsible for the event.
Reasons for closing the field to non-event participants
include the need to maintain safety, the type of event
requires this, or other reasons.
"Closed to non-event
participants", however, does not mean the event
is closed to non-Omahawk members. Each event has different
and unique requirements for participation. All individuals
belonging to local or non-local clubs, the general public,
or non-residents of Omaha who meet the requirements to
participate in the event and fly at Hawk Field (Standing
Bear Lake) are encouraged to participate.
If you have questions about your
eligibility to participate in an event, please contact the
individual listed as the primary contact for the event
first. If a person is not listed, please use our Contact
Us page to determine the best person to contact to
answer your questions. |
